Students wishing to be considered for the four-person national team that will attend the International Chemistry Olympiad must fulfill ALL of the following criteria:
  • Complete all the on-line problem sets (October – March)
  • Complete the take-home examination (available March 1st)
  • Write Parts A & C of the Canadian Chemistry Contest (April)
  • Attend the National Camp and complete the final selection exam (May/June)
  • Participate in the National Team Training (June/July)
To be selected for the National Camp students must complete all problem sets, the Take home exam and the CCO exam and be among the top 10% on the aggregate score on the three (with the Problem sets worth 5%, the Take home exam worth 15% and the CCO worth 80% of the score). Students who do not complete the take home will not be eligible for the National Camp or IChO. Invitations to the National Camp will be sent to students within the top ~10% of students based on the above criteria.
Les élèves qui souhaitent être pris en considération pour l'équipe nationale de quatre personnes qui participera aux Olympiades internationales de chimie doivent remplir TOUS les critères suivants:
 
     
  • Remplir toutes les séries de problèmes en ligne (d'octobre à mars).
    •  
  • Réussir l'examen à domicile (disponible le 1er mars).
    •  
  • Rédiger les parties A et C du concours canadien de chimie (avril).
    •  
  • Participer au camp national et passer l'examen de sélection final (mai/juin).
    •  
  • Participer à l'entraînement de l'équipe nationale (juin/juillet).
    •  
 
Pour être sélectionnés pour le camp national, les élèves doivent compléter toutes les séries de problèmes, l'examen à domicile et l'examen CCO et faire partie des 10 % ayant obtenu la note globale aux trois (les séries de problèmes à domicile valent 5 %, l'examen à domicile vaut 15 % et le CCO vaut 80 % de la note). Les étudiants qui ne terminent pas l'examen à domicile ne seront pas éligibles pour le camp national ou l'IChO. Les invitations au camp national seront envoyées aux étudiants se situant dans la tranche supérieure de ~10% des étudiants selon les critères ci-dessus.
